JGreeXGX Steel “JGreeX™” adopted to new office building of the Imabari Shipbuilding Group

We are pleased to announce that our GX steel “JGreeX™”*1 has been adopted for the new office building (annex) of Hiroshima Shipyard of the Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (Imabari). In addition, Iwagi Zosen Co., Ltd. (Iwagi), a group company of the Imabari Shipbuilding Group, has also decided to adopt ^JGreeXTM ̄ for the “Iwagi Zosen Office (tentative name).”

 

This is the second time that “JGreeX™” has been adopted in an Imabari Shipbuilding Group office building, following its adoption at the Marugame Craft Office. The design and construction of these new office buildings are the responsibility of RN Construction Co., Ltd.

 

With this adoption as a starting point, we aim to further contribute to the carbon neutrality initiatives of Imabari and RN Construction, while also working to further expand the adoption of “JGreeX™” in the shipbuilding and construction sectors.

 

*1 Steel products that significantly reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the manufacturing process by allocating the reduction volume generated by our GHG emission reduction technology to any steel material.

Location: 1-1 Saizaki Nouji 2-shome, Mihara-shi, Hiroshima
Completion date: End of August 2026 (planned)

Business operator: Iwagi Zosen Co., Ltd.
Designer/Contractor: RN Construction Co., Ltd.
Location: 4690 Iwagi, Kamijima-cho, Ochi-gun, Ehime
Completion date: Late February 2027 (planned)
